The 25th annual San Clemente Seafest took over the pier area Sunday with the ever-popular chowder cook-off, a youth surfing competition, kids’ contests, a business expo and more.
The chowder cook-off pitted 15 teams – eight of them restaurants – dishing out samples while seeking votes both from judges and for the People’s Choice award.
On the ocean, surfers 17 and younger competed in shortboarding, longboarding, bodyboarding and parent/child divisions.
Meanwhile, children could face off in hoops, bubble-gum, jump-roping and tortilla-tossing contests, along with a Diaper Derby.
